What we collect

When you create an account, set an alert, or join a waitlist, we store your email address. When you save pieces to a private collection, we store those entries under your account.

When you browse Besot, our analytics records the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and the referring site that brought you here. This data is aggregated and used to improve the site. It is not sold.

Affiliate platforms set their own cookies when you click through to a listing. Those cookies allow the platform to credit Besot for any resulting purchase. We do not receive your name, payment information, or the specifics of what you bought.

How we use it

Your email is used to send the alerts and digests you opt into, and to reach you about your account. We do not sell your email address. We do not rent, trade, or share it with advertisers.

Aggregated usage data helps us decide which collaborations to prioritize, which features to build, and which editorial directions to take. No individual profile is surfaced to our team or to any partner.

Cookies

We use two types of cookies. Functional cookies keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Analytics cookies record aggregated, anonymized traffic patterns. You can disable either in your browser.

Affiliate cookies are set by the resale platform when you click a product link, not by Besot. They typically persist for 30 days and allow Besot to be credited for purchases you make during that window.

Data retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will erase all personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

Aggregated analytics data, with no personal identifiers, may be retained indefinitely for historical comparison.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively. Those rights are honored regardless of where you live.
