Affiliate Disclosure

How this works

Besot earns a commission when you buy something through a link on this site. Those commissions fund the editorial work: the research, the writing, and the index itself. They are the reason Besot can stay free to read.

Earning a commission never changes what we cover or how we rank it. We write about the collaborations we think are worth your attention, and we say so plainly when something is not. A piece does not get a kinder review because it pays better.

Which links earn a commission

When you click a product link and the listing opens on a resale platform such as The RealReal, Grailed, eBay, Vestiaire, or Poshmark, that platform may credit Besot if you go on to buy. The credit comes from the platform's affiliate program, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would have paid arriving any other way.

Not every link on the site is an affiliate link. Links between our own pages, links to an artist or designer profile, and links to non-commercial sources carry no commission.

Where you will see this disclosed

The pages that carry product links also carry a short disclosure near those links, because that is where it is most useful to you. This page is the longer version, gathered in one place. The short notice and this page say the same thing.

Brands and artists

Besot is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand or artist featured here. We use brand and artist names to describe the pieces accurately, which is permitted as nominative fair use. We do not use brand logos without permission.

Images

Product images on listing cards are supplied through affiliate feeds and are used in line with those agreements. Campaign and editorial photographs are used as small images in the context of original commentary, and are credited to the photographer and the brand.
